Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and Abel Amare ("Maily", "we") for the Maily iPhone app and the site at mailyco.com. Using Maily means you accept them.

1. What Maily is

Maily is an email client. It connects to a mailbox you already own — Gmail or any IMAP server — and helps you read, sort, search and answer it, with the help of AI features. Maily is not an email provider: we do not run your mailbox, deliver your mail, or hold it for you.

2. Your account

• You must be at least 13, or older where your country requires it.
• Keep your sign-in details to yourself. What happens under your account is your responsibility.
• Connect only mailboxes you are entitled to use.
• You can delete your account at any time from You → Edit profile → Delete account.

3. What you may not do

• Send bulk unsolicited mail, or anything unlawful, through Maily.
• Use it to access a mailbox that is not yours.
• Try to break, overload or work around the app's limits, including its usage allowances.
• Resell Maily, or run it as a service for other people, without our written agreement.

We may suspend an account that does any of this.

4. Subscriptions and payment

• Maily has a free tier and paid Pro and Max plans. Prices are shown in the app before you buy.
• Payment is taken by Apple through your App Store account. We never see your card.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends.
• Manage or cancel in Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your iPhone. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under their policy, not by us.
• Each plan includes a monthly AI allowance. When it runs out the AI features pause until the next month or until you add credit; reading, sending and search keep working.
• We may change prices. You will be told before a change affects you, and you can cancel.

5. The AI features, and their limits

Auto-Reply, if you turn it on, sends messages on your behalf under the limits you set. You remain responsible for what is sent from your address. It is off by default, it tells you every time it acts, and you can stop it at any moment.

6. Your content

Your mail is yours. We claim no ownership of it and no right to use it beyond operating the app for you, as set out in the privacy policy. You grant us only the permission needed to process your messages so the features you use can work.

7. Availability

We aim to keep Maily working, but it depends on services we do not control — Google, Apple, your mail provider, our AI provider. Maily is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free.

8. Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits, or for lost or missed mail. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing here removes rights you have as a consumer that cannot be removed by agreement.

9. Ending it

You can stop using Maily and delete your account whenever you like. We may end or suspend your access if you break these terms, or if we stop offering the service — in which case we will give reasonable notice and, where money is owed to you, refund the unused part of a subscription.

10. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms materially, we will say so in the app before the change takes effect. Carrying on using Maily after that means you accept the new version.

11. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, and the courts there have jurisdiction, without affecting any right you have to bring a claim where you live.
